  • rykerIs Your Helmet Safe?

Time for a new helmet? Pinnacle Bikes has you covered. We stock the finest helmets around from Specialized, Lazer and Cannondale. Did you know that just about all helmets have a limited lifespan? Helmet manufacturers place date of manufacture stickers in their helmets. If your helmet is anywhere from 5-7 years old it may be time to replace it. The polystyrene in the helmet breaks down with age and compromises the helmets ability to protect your head. Why mess around and risk the only head you have? If you are not sure of the integrity of your helmet, stop in and we’ll have a look. With helmet prices starting at $40, it really isn’t worth taking a chance.

  • Pro Tune-Ups at Pinnacle Bikes!

Now is the time to have your bike properly tuned up and ready to ride for the season. At Pinnacle Bikes we pride ourselves on the quality of our service. Our mechanics have been trained by the some of the most respected service staff in the country. It doesn’t matter if we are repairing a flat on a child’s bike or doing an overhaul on a top end road bike – we treat each one with the same level of attention to detail. Drop off your bike and have it serviced at Pinnacle Bikes and you won’t be disappointed.

  • The name and location are new, but Pinnacle Bikes has been around for almost 20 years. You see, for most of the past two decades, we were known as Bay Road Bikes in South Hamilton, MA. But founder and owner Stu Thorne decided it was time for a change of scenery – and moved his shop to a more accessible location in Beverly. And since there was so much upheaval going on, why not change the name? After all, Bay Road Bikes wasn’t even on Bay Road. And so Pinnacle Bikes was born: the oldest new bike shop in Massachusetts.

The new Pinnacle Bikes is easier to get to and has more room for their impressive display of bikes from Cannondale, Ridley and Specialized (as well as an extensive collection of accessories and clothing). It just provides a much better bike shopping experience overall. The staff have used their decades of shop management experience to build Pinnacle Bikes into the kind of place anyone who likes bikes will instantly feel at home.

A pro quality bike shop for the whole family

Our mechanics have experience at the elite level of the sport (how many bike shops do you know that are run by a US national team mechanic?), but we’re not above fitting your 6 year old with her first two-wheeler – or explaining how the shifters work on a hybrid bike. No bike snobs here. Anybody who wants to ride a bike is treated like family at Pinnacle Bikes.

Road, Mountain, Triathlon, Cyclocross – we understand it all

Some shops are known as road shops, others just cater to mountain bikers. At Pinnacle Bikes, we have vast experience in all of the major cycling disciplines, and we understand the uniqueness of each. We know what works, and we’re here – with custom bike fitting and specialty equipment that can help you get the most out of your bike, no matter how you use it.
